Biringan

Underworld types

As in the known and the unknown, where there is light there must also be dark in Alawan. While the age and mortality of z-creatures remain a mystery, there lies a god of Biringan, the oldest of the zigbin gods, shepherd of the dead, and judge of the scales of morality and mortality. From scorched earths and dried up seas, Biringan curses and fashions the landscape into a realm of the undead and dying.

But this seemingly violent nature of the darkest zigbins are a misdirection - they are sentries of life, guiding peaceful souls into their final resting places and are punishers of the evil through unforgiving maledictions of fates worse than death. Governed by the wisdom of the all-knowing universe, the zigbins of Biringan are cradlers of mortals.

As such, the Biringan zigbins are highly attuned to a sense of morality that stays the forces of curses, killing, and judgment. Their masters must understand that deviations from the virtuous paths come at a price. When the desires for violence are unfounded, casters must carry a manifestation of the burden of responsibility - appropriated curses that preserve the delicate balance of the Biringan scales.
